Cut Flowers & Bouquets
Our goal is to bring a smile to your face with our fresh flowers and hand-tied bouquets – and we want that smile to last as long as possible!
Here are a few tips on how to care for your flowers so they stay beautiful for a long time.
The most important steps are very simple and crucial for the longevity of your flowers.
#1 Remove Leaves #2 Cut #3 Hydrate
#1 Remove Leaves
At least 2/3 of all leaves from your cut flowers should be removed. The high water absorption of the leaves causes the plant to unnecessarily lose a lot of energy.
For cut flowers, such as hydrangeas, which require an above-average amount of water, it is best to remove all leaves.
As a guideline: when your cut flowers are in a vase, no leaves should come into contact with the vase. This not only makes it easier for the plant to absorb water but also prevents the water in the vase from becoming contaminated.
#2 Cut
Once you have taken your cut flowers or bouquet home, you should cut them at an angle by at least 2 cm. It's best to use a sharp and clean floral knife. Normal scissors are not suitable for this, as they can crush the stems of the flowers, which hinders water absorption.
Repeat this step every 2-3 days if possible.

#3 Hydration
After freshly cutting your flowers, it is best to immediately place them in fresh, lukewarm water, which should be changed daily. The most important thing is that all flowers are in the water so that they can all absorb water.
The right vase is also important. Your cut flowers or bouquet should have enough space in the vase and not be crushed.
Once you have found a beautiful, suitable vase for your flowers, it is best to place them in a cool, sheltered spot without direct sunlight.
